# What is Energy

Energy is a core in-game resource used for Typer progression and active gameplay.

**Energy can be spent only on:**

* upgrading and leveling up a Typer
* sending a Typer on raids

Energy is generated through typing activity while the browser extension is active and you have an active Typer.

#### Energy Regeneration, Caps and Limits

Energy is regenerated through typing activity while the browser extension is active.

The number of typed characters required to generate 1 unit of energy depends on the currently active Typer. 

**How it works:**

* different Typer require a different amount of typing to generate 1 energy
* each Typer can generate only a limited amount of energy per day
* once the daily limit is reached, you will need to wait until the next day to generate more energy

Both the energy generation rate and the daily energy cap depend on your Typer rarity and level.\

#### Daily Limit Reset on Level Up

When your Typer levels up, its daily energy limit is refreshed.\
This means you can generate energy again on the same day after the upgrade completes.

**Example:**

* your Typer reaches its daily energy limit at Level 2
* you upgrade it to Level 3
* after the upgrade completes, you can generate energy again\ <br>
