# Energy

#### Energy is one of the core resources in Peptype.

It is used for progression and key game actions, helping your Typer grow and move forward in the game. Players collect energy through typing and can use it to support faster and more active progress.

**Energy can be spent only on:**

* upgrading and leveling up a Typer
* sending a Typer on raids

Energy is generated through typing activity while the browser extension is active and you have an active Typer.

#### Energy Regeneration, Caps and Limits

Energy is regenerated through typing activity while the browser extension is active.

The number of typed characters required to generate 1 unit of energy depends on the currently active Typer. 

**How it works:**

* different Typer require a different amount of typing to generate 1 energy
* each Typer can generate only a limited amount of energy per day
* once the daily limit is reached, you will need to wait until the next day to generate more energy

Both the energy generation rate and the daily energy cap depend on your Typer rarity and level.\

#### Daily Limit Reset on Level Up

When your Typer levels up, its daily energy limit is refreshed.\
This means you can generate energy again on the same day after the upgrade completes.

**Example:**

* your Typer reaches its daily energy limit at Level 2
* you upgrade it to Level 3
* after the upgrade completes, you can generate energy again

#### Daily Limit Reached

Daily Limit Reached means you have reached your maximum daily energy cap.

> You cannot collect more energy by typing until the reset at 00:00 UTC.
>
> After that, progress refreshes and energy collection becomes available again.

#### Extra Energy

**Every player can buy additional energy**

This mechanic helps you progress faster, stay active longer, and keep moving forward when your standard energy is no longer enough. Extra energy gives players more flexibility and makes overall progression smoother and easier.

**Free Daily Energy Chance**

> Once per day, every player has a free chance to try and receive 1 extra energy.

This works randomly, which means the bonus energy may drop or may not. It is a simple daily opportunity to test your luck and get a small extra boost for progression.
