# Community & Economy

Peptype differs from a typical browser game through its on-chain economic design. The system supports a player-owned economy where progression, rarity, and contribution can translate into value inside an open market. Players are not only “playing for points” they build an on-chain identity, chase upgrades, and earn rewards backed by scarcity and demand created by other players.

***

#### Progression and Resource Growth

Players can earn more resources and accelerate growth through three main paths:

#### 1) Activity → Energy → Upgrades

With the extension enabled, player activity (keystrokes) generates Energy. Energy powers upgrades that improve efficiency and increase reward rate over time.

#### 2) Collecting and Customization

Cosmetics and traits have defined rarity tiers. Rare drops become part of the meta and status layer, driving both social value and market value as players compete for better builds and stronger “drip”.

#### 3) Trading and Marketplace

Players can buy, sell, and swap items on the marketplace. Rare drops and optimized builds can be converted into additional upside within the ecosystem through market participation.

***

#### Community as the Economic Engine

The community drives demand and liquidity. Players set trends, create demand for specific items, share builds and strategies, produce content and memes, and onboard new players. As more players evolve their characters and more assets circulate, the market becomes more active and liquid — unlocking more opportunities for everyone inside the Peptype economy.

> **This is Play-and-Earn, but grounded: the core loop is everyday online activity converted into progression and rewards.**
